Goldy McJohn is widely held as one of the pioneering innovators in rock music. As a keyboardist, his style and attack has been widely imitated, but never duplicated. He is one of the founding members of the iconic rock band, Steppenwolf, and has played with musicians such as Janis Joplin, Jerry Garcia, Jorma Kaukonen, Paul Butterfield, & Steve Marriott.
